Are You A Perennial Or Live In The Moment?

The spider weaves its web.

Some spiders weave a new web every night.

Other spiders repair the old web.

There are those of us who prefer the same agenda day after day.

We keep the same schedule and engage in the same practices day after day.

We call this perennial behaviour.

It is behaviour that lasts a long time and is repetitious.

Our ego does not want us to change because change is a fearful thing.

All my life, I have attempted to keep the pieces in place that I know.

I have grown up as a perennial human.

There is comfort in that game plan.

When you live a perennial life, you are attempting to live in certainty when there is no such thing.

The pandemic has shown us there is no certainty.

However, in awakening to the potential my life offers, I have awakened to living in uncertainty.

Living in the flow of a moment by moment life creates excitement.

You and I are here to live our potential and express all that is within us.

That is not possible if you live a perennial life.

Life is a flow of ever becoming.

Those that remain on their web and keep repairing the old will never experience the warmth, excitement, and awe-inspiring possibilities that lie within them.

How do you shift from a perennial life to a moment by moment one?

  1. Take an inventory of your current life to understand what is there.

  2. Accept yourself with love and decide what you want. The choice is one of your most powerful tools.

  3. Trust the voice of your heart to guide you.

Don't you wonder what your life might be like if you weave a new web?
